JP Castel | Evercast - Chief Strategy Officer
JP Castel is a Los Angeles based producer and creative technologist who began his career under Bob Evans at Paramount Studios and has produced several award-winning independent films that premiered at SXSW (Initiation), Cannes (KRISHA), and most recently Sundance (MY ANIMAL). Operating a production service company that worked closely with both Milk Studios and Secret Location, JP helped budget and build emerging VR and immersive technology pipelines while crafting cinematic pitch decks that helped agencies and studios greenlight a range of films and global campaigns.
In 2020, JP joined Evercast, ultimately serving as Chief Strategy Officer, where he helped lead the company to grow 1,400%, expanding from an early-stage startup into a multi-award-winning platform used by every major studio. He spearheaded R&D and product strategy across remote production and post workflows, earning two consecutive NAB Product of the Year Awards and the HPA Engineering Excellence Award for the Apple Vision Pro Evercast app, developed in collaboration with Apple, IMAX, and Disney.
Recently, JP has been building AI-driven production tools/showcases: exploring depth based controlnet driven image creation for Netflix, developing custom ComfyUI NDI live-input nodes for NAB showcases and exploring real-time Gaussian Splat / 4DGS pipelines for Amazon Studios Virtual Production.
